- A Webcomics Exhibition has been launched at the Henry Art Gallery, a contemporary art museum in Seattle and will run through to June 12th. It's called Morning Serial and "is a focused selection of comics exemplary of the possibilities unique to webcomics." 

Jim Zub will be translating old video game IP into new webcomics. EXCITING! Not much has been released but here is a trailer:

Fleen gives us a bit of an update from Rich Burlew, creator of Order of the Stick. With all the mailouts he promised for the kickstarter project, the postage alone will lilkely cost him two hundred thousand dollars. Yikes.

- We would like to have more community events! Visit the Community Events brainstorming thread if you have a good idea for an event, or if there's an old event you would like us to revisit.

- Order of the stick wanted to reprint their books and made a kickstarter page to do so. Well, it's already done and over one million dollars has been upfronted by just under 13000 backers. I guess people really like order of the stick. 

Google is running a doodle contest for kids from kindergarden to grade 12 with a them of "if I could travel in time, i'd visit". 
Submissions are due by march 23rd and the details are available on their website 

Publisher Scholastic is holding a webinar on March 7th. It's aimed at the classroom and invites teachers to let their students watch and learn how to use words and pictures to create a narrative. 
I'm not sure if it's limited to classrooms though; it seems to be. 

The Webcomic beacon's Webcomic Blind Date 2012 was a success with 5 of the 7 couples submitting comics. So check them out!

- Apple recently made an announcement on education that included software to produce ibooks. Rich Stevens took initiative and made an ibook out of several comics from his effort Diesel Sweeties. It's not available in the apps store yet, so you have to download and sync it yourself. It also only currently works on the ipad. 

- Something we missed out on is the Blind Date 3 event that the Webcomics Beacon is hosting. The basic details are you, as a writer or artist, get paired with an artist or writer and you have to make a comic for valentimes day. (yes I know I misspelled valentine's )
