News:
- MAX's new bonus round starts on August 5th. The theme is "Alternate Time Periods"
- The 2009 Eisner winners have been announced. Congratulations to the winner of Best Webcomic, Carla Speed McNeil for her comic, Finder. And congratulations to the winners in all of the other categories as well.
- Google has released several comic themes for personalizing your iGoogle homepage.
- El Santo of The Webcomic Overlook tells us why it's okay to use the term Webcomics.
- The makers of Jamba Juice have allegedly ripped off the style of David Rees' comic Get Your War On.
- Megan Rose Gedris of YU+ME: dream is being blackmailed by someone who hacked her email and obtained nude photos of her. She asks that "If you see them anywhere, please, email me RIGHT AWAY with a link to where you saw it. Don't try to remove it. I'll work on that later." She also notes: "I'm not going to go into a lot of detail on the full situation or what I've done about it at this time. For various reasons. When I feel it is appropriate, I will divulge details. For now, I can't answer much in the way of questions."
- ATXS celebrates a unique milestone. As of Monday July 27th, they will have uploaded the last comic of the year to the server.
