- Webcomics.com has an article about creating a Facebook Fan Page for your comic.
- The Webcomic List Awards 2009 are accepting nominations until December 13. You can nominate up to three comics in each category, and the five most popular suggestions in each will be handed to a panel of judges to decide the winners.
- Penny Arcade has partnered with 2 Player Productions to create a reality show about life at Penny Arcade. They plan to release two new episodes each month. You can watch the two-part pilot episode here.

Note: You may noticed some Internet Explorer click sounds during the podcast. Before I upgraded to windows 7, those noises were omitted from the podcast. I could still hear them but they wouldn't appear in the final production. Since having to dual boot into XP to get the drivers to work, I noticed that the sounds carry though. A tad annoying but it should be the last time it happens.

While I was considering recording something quick just to fill the time, Jason Torchia did it for me! So a big thanks to him. * Manga Xanadu has an article about small-screen comic readers. The article talks about how to view comics on the PSP, Nintendo DS, iPhone, and other handheld devices.

Howard Taylor got a HUGO nomination for The Body Politic storyline in Shlock Mercenary.

So far it sounds like things at the New England Webcomics weekend went really well. Attendees are already looking forward to next years event.

It started on Jan 16 and will update every friday.
It's sort of an autobiography about a dog named Raine.

Shadow Walkers will be posting its 25th weekly page Wed the 21st. As you already know, Shadow Walkers is based on Roger Zelazny's Amber Chronicles and features a protaganist unique to the webcomic itself.

Episode 17 is nearly ready for you all. We had some more technical difficulties on monday, which lead to a very short episode. Instead of letting Shayne post it as it is, he's going to bring it to me, and after work I will add a little and put it up.

If anything goes wrong with that, Shayne will put up what we have now, so either way, you WILL get it tonight. :)

Well, twice we got together to make our podcast and twice we were plagued with technical problems. So we're taking this week off to do a number of things.
1. Exorcise the demons from the computer
2. Expunge the gremlins from the mixer board
3. get more coffee...because, you know, coffee is always good to have around.

In short, there won't be a podcast this week my friends, and I am truly sorry for that. We hope to have everything ironed out for next week.

I'm pretty sure that the characters are supposed to be British, though, so I'm not sure how well accepted American or Canadian voice actors would be.

Dino Andrade, who does the voice for Skull on the PvP animated shorts has started a geek-only dating site.
looks less like a dating site and more like a convention site.

The site is free to join which allows you access to most of the site. You can recieve messages and respond to those messages which is really the most important part of a dating service. But i think you need to be a paid member to send out the initial message. The site faq is unclear about this.

Paid memberships run from $9.95 to $14.95 and gives you access to create and blog and fan fic, space to add plenty of pictures, and 7 live chat rooms. Again, the FAQ doesn't say what the difference between the prices are.

There's a 'dealer room' which currently has 1 tee for sale, promoting the site.

Currently, their search engine only works with US postal codes so us out of country-ers are out of luck when it comes to using one of their search engines. Fortunately we're still able to navigate the site and connect with others in the same city.

What are you afraid of?

A new community project has popped up on Drunk duck right in time for Hallowe'en. It's called "Clowns, Spiders and Ghosts...What are you afraid of?

Created by TheMidge28, the idea behind this is to have different artists post comics about their fears, be it their own or someone elses. Midge posts new comics every second or third day.
Midge admits coming up with the idea one night while drifting to sleep.
The only guidelines to follow are the page size should be roughly the size of a standard legal sized letter and should have the phrase "I am afraid of..." along with the name of your fear.

The KBP is a project to raise money for the make a wish foundation, in which over 50 webcomic artists draw a single page, only seeing the page prior to theirs before doing it. 6GBP for the book, and 1GBP for shipping in the UK, or 2.5GBP for shipping elsewhere. For each one sold, 3GBP goes to the charity.

The Dish #2 - To the MAX!

Episode #2 of the Dish. Today we have Reed Hawker (Hawk) and Mary (Modesty) of the MAX. The Multi-Artist Exchange is a system that has two rounds a month in which participants have their names put in a virtual hat, mixed up, and handed out. Everyone draws for someone else, everyone gets art, it's all around a great thing to participate in.

We start our Random Comic segment with Been Better.

In comic news, Looking for Group has a short animated music video where Richard, the undead warlock, sings a parody of "Part of your world" from the Little Mermaid. They have announced that they are having a full-length feature film made about the comic by Blind Ferret, the same company behind the PvP animated shorts.

Finally, the very first Comic Dish podcast. In this episode, we tell you a little bit about what you can expect with the Dish, and we manage to snag JT and Scott (not Tim... sorry Scott!) from The Gigcast to come in and chat with us. It was a terribly fun episode to tape, and I think you'll love it.

You won't love some of the technical issues with it (some echo, some not-so-clear talking), but hey... it's our first.
