- Lar deSouza and Ryan Sohmer will not be at DragonCon next year. Because of an incident that took place this year, they were not invited back.
- The 2010 Glyph Comic Awards are accepting nominations until January 31st 2010. All comic publishers are invited to "submit black-themed material released from January 1 – December 31, 2009 for consideration for award recognition."

- The Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco is hosting Monsters of Webcomics: Webcomic-Con 2009 on December 12th.
- Daniel Lafrance has started a new webcomic, Starthrower in Haiti, with the purpose of raising money for the Starthrower Foundation, a charity providing the means for young Haitian adults to finish their educations and move out into the workforce.
- The 2010 Eisner Awards are accepting submissions until March 8, 2010.

- Various webcomic artists are selling 4.25"x6" post cards featuring their original art as part of the 4th annual Webcomic Holiday Postcard Fundraiser. All proceeds go to Child's Play, a charity providing games and toys to sick children.

- The Webcomic List Awards 2009 are accepting nominations until December 13. You can nominate up to three comics in each category, and the five most popular suggestions in each will be handed to a panel of judges to decide the winners.
- Penny Arcade has partnered with 2 Player Productions to create a reality show about life at Penny Arcade. They plan to release two new episodes each month. You can watch the two-part pilot episode here.

Note: You may noticed some Internet Explorer click sounds during the podcast.  Before I upgraded to windows 7, those noises were omitted from the podcast.  I could still hear them but they wouldn't appear in the final production.  Since having to dual boot into XP to get the drivers to work, I noticed that the sounds carry though.  A tad annoying but it should be the last time it happens.
