- The Comic Creators Alliance donation drive to help put an end to human trafficking raised over $10,000.
- Chad Boudreau and William Blankenship have withdrawn their comic The Thunderchickens from this month's Zuda competition. This is the first time a comic has dropped out since the competition began in 2007. Oddly enough, The Thunderchickens was leading the competition at the time.
- School Library Journal has a list of 10 comics for the classroom, chosen by educator and literacy expert Peter Gutierrez.
- Agent44 shows us how to fix an inking mistake without Photoshop.

- Robert Downey Jr. backed out of the role for the hero of Cowboys vs. Aliens.
- Goodbye, Spiderman 4. The series is getting a "gritty contemporary" reboot after Sam Raimi walked out on the project. Goodbye to Tobey Macguire and Kirsten Dunst as well.
- Question Riot has an interview with Ryan North about his projects other than Dinosaur Comics, including Project Wonderful, Oh No Robot, and RSSPECT.
- Broken Frontier has picked Girl Genius as the best webcomic of 2009.
- Comic Book Resources asks various folks in the comics industry what they're most excited about in 2010.
- Also from Comic Book Resources: Brigid Alverson interviews Brad Guigar about his recent decision to turn Webcomics.com into a paysite.
- Scott Kurtz will be speaking at Macworld on Feb 12 at a panel called "He Wants To Kill Your Newspaper: An Interview With Webcomics Magnate Scott Kurtz".
